BIRMINGHAM – UAB women’s soccer head coach Erica Demers has announced that Birmingham native Morgan “Momo” White has transferred into the program.
“We are excited to bring Momo back home to Birmingham to play in front of her family and friends,” said Demers. “She will bring depth, versatility and help the competitive nature of our defending core.”
White, who played two years at South Alabama, is coming off a 2021 season in which she made eight starts and played in 17 matches. The 5-9 midfielder scored a pair of goals and set up another.
In her first season at USA, White played in 23 matches, making six starts. She helped the Jaguars register eight clean sheets.
A graduate of Westminster School at Oak Mountain, White led the Knights to the state title in 2019 by scoring the game-winner from 40-yards out with five seconds remaining. She finished her high school career by scoring 107 goals and was named Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year for 2019-20.
“Our staff is looking forward to working with Momo this coming Fall,” added Demers. “Welcome home!”
