BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women’s basketball team has earned a Special Mention honor on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, the organization announced this morning.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2022-23 season is the 28th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
“We are extremely proud of our team’s efforts in the classroom as they continue to compete for championships in everything they do,” said head coach Randy Norton.
UAB finished the 2022-23 school year with a 3.458 GPA and had the highest GPA of any American Athletic Conference team on the list.
2023-24 SEASON TICKETS
Women’s Basketball season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
