UAB (7-2, 0-1 C-USA) dropped its Conference USA opener to Charlotte 85-76 on Dec. 19. The Blazers have a perfect 4-0 mark at home this season.

Alcorn State (4-6, 0-0 SWAC) has lost its last two contests – road games at Colorado and ULM. The Braves are 0-6 on the road this season

UAB TO THE AAC
American Athletic Conference officials announced that Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, UTSA, Rice and Texas San Antonio will join UAB as new members in the AAC and compete against current AAC members East Carolina, Memphis, Navy, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State. The move will be official on July 1, 2023.
