Game Two Set for Next Tuesday in Moncton, Live on NHL Network COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – One of the greatest rivalries in sports renews Saturday (Dec. 14) in Hartford, Connecticut, when the women’s national teams of the U.S. and Canada meet as part of the Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity. NBC Sports Network will televise the game live beginning at 7 p.m. ET from XL Center with John Walton and two-time Olympian A.J. Mleczko calling the action.The contest is the first of five games this season in the Rivalry Series between the two hockey powerhouses, with game two set for Tuesday, Dec. 17, in Moncton, New Brunswick. Opening faceoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET from the Avenir Centre and NHL Network will televise the contest live.Currently, 46 players are taking part in the 2019 U.S. Women’s Winter Camp in Hartford. From the camp, 23 skaters will be named to the U.S. Women’s National Team that will compete in the Rivalry Series. The U.S. captured the opening game in London, Ont., by a 1-0 count on Feb. 12, before Canada earned a 4-3 win in Toronto on Feb. 14 and a 2-0 victory on Feb. 17 in Detroit … The U.S. and Canada have battled in the gold-medal game of every IIHF Women’s World Championship and Olympic Winter Games staged, with just two exceptions (2019 World Championship, 2006 Olympics). |
