BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Tulsa remains atop the leaderboard after two rounds at the 2025 American Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, being held at the Southern Hills Plantation Club. The Golden Hurricane shot a round-best of 2-over 290 to take a 15-stroke lead after 36 holes. Charlotte is in second place, while East Carolina is in third.
The average score on the second day of play at Southern Hills Plantation Club was 75.69 over the 55 completed rounds. Over the two days, the average score is 75.36 across 110 rounds. Wichita State’s Kate Tilma shot up the leaderboard following a tournament best 5-under 67 in the second round to enter the final round in 4th place at 3-under 141.
Tulsa enters the final round with the top two scorers through 36 holes, as Romaine Masserey and Lovisa Gunnar both sit at 5-under 139. The pair led the Golden Hurricane in the second round, both shooting 1-under 71.
Charlotte was led by Jette Schulze and Pimpchompoo Chaisilprungruang, both shooting 1-under 71 in the second round. Schulze sits at third place overall at 4-under 140. The 49ers are in second place at 8-over 586 through two rounds.
East Carolina enters the final round in third place at 11-over 587. The Pirates shot 13-over 301 in the second round to fall back one spot into third.
Tied for fourth place with a score of 15-over 591 through two rounds are North Texas and Memphis. Mason Lewis led the Mean Green with a 2-under 70 to vault North Texas into the top 5. She is even through two rounds. Memphis’ Tilly Garfoot shot even for the second round and leads the Tigers with 1-under 143 through two rounds.
The third and final round of the 2025 American Women’s Golf Championship will be on Wednesday with tee times expected to begin at 8 a.m. (ET). Coverage on ESPN+ will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET with John Liddle and Lauren Withrow on the call and Maria Trivelpiece as the reporter.
