TKO/Dana White proposed pay outs

Dana White’s new TKO boxing league proposed salary information for its fighters, indicates a tiered pay scale. Unranked fighters can expect Twenty Thousand dollars for a Ten round Fight, while those ranked by “the company” can earn Fifty Thousand Dollars or One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars depending on their ranking. Challengers fighting for the company championship can earn three-hundred seventy-five Thousand and defending champions can get Seven-Hundred Fifty Thousand.

Your Average Professional Boxer in the US is around Forty-Three Thousand Dollars per year, with a range from Thirty thousand dollars to Thirty-six thousand dollars. While some boxers earn millions per fight or more depending on how big of a Star or how popular they are.

As we take a look at the average UFC fighter salary is roughly around Sixty-eight thousand per year depending on how active the Fighter is, with a median salary around Ninety-One thousand dollars. However, this average is skewed by top-earning fighters, as some make significantly more. Lower-tier fighters can earn between Ten thousand dollars to thirty thousand dollars per fight, while those in the mid-tier range from eighty thousand dollars to two-hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars. Top-tier fighters and champions can earn upwards of Five-Hundred Thousand Dollars to 3 million per fight

No news on when the proposed Boxing promotion will launch or who will be Fighting for them, but one thing is clear that the combat sports pay outs are all over the place. I’m not sure if TKO and Dana White have all the answers or will fare any better than other promotions and/or promoters in the past. Combat sports is like any other sport, it’s driven by its stars not the men and women behind the curtains and I’m not sure if this proposed pay outs will have athletes knocking down doors as boxing is still the most dangerous of all the combat sports that is sanctioned in today’s world and one of the most expensive Dreams to Chase both physically and financially.
