ARIZONA CARDINALS (6-3) AT SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (6-3)
Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season gets underway on Thursday, November 19 (8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFL Network/Amazon), as the Arizona Cardinals visit the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West showdown. Overall, the all-time series between the clubs is tied, 21-21-1. In Week 7, Arizona overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat Seattle, 37-34, in overtime. Quarterback KYLER MURRAY passed for 360 yards and totaled four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in the win, becoming the first player in NFL history with at least 350 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 50 rushing yards (67) and one rushing touchdown in a single game.
Last week, Murray rushed for two touchdowns and threw a game-winning 43-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DEANDRE HOPKINS with two seconds remaining to earn a 32-30 win over Buffalo. Murray is the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era and fourth quarterback in NFL history to rush for a touchdown in five consecutive games, joining JOHNNY LUJACK (six consecutive games in 1950), TOBIN ROTE (five in 1956) and Pro Football Hall of Famer DUTCH CLARK (five in 1936). He leads all quarterbacks with 10 rushing touchdowns this season, tied with Lujack (10 rushing touchdowns in 1950) for the most by a quarterback in his team’s first nine games of a season in league annals. In 25 career games, Murray has 6,097 passing yards and 1,148 rushing yards and joined CAM NEWTON (6,194 passing yards, 1,060 rushing yards) as the only quarterbacks with at least 6,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in their first 25 career games in NFL history.
Running back KENYAN DRAKE rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns in the last meeting at Seattle (Week 16 of the 2019 season). Since joining Arizona in Week 9 of the 2019 season, he ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards (1,255) and tied for fifth in rushing touchdowns (12). Hopkins recorded 127 receiving yards last week, his NFL-high fifth game with at least 100 receiving yards in 2020. In Week 7, he registered 10 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown and aims for his third in a row against Seattle with at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. Hopkins ranks second in the NFL in receiving yards (861) and ties for second in receptions (67) this season. Safety BUDDA BAKER had 14 tackles and an interception in the Week 7 meeting and aims for his third in a row at Seattle with at least nine tackles. Cornerback PATRICK PETERSON registered his 28th career interception last week, the fourth-most interceptions since he entered the NFL in 2011.
Seattle quarterback RUSSELL WILSON passed for 388 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions and added 84 rushing yards against Arizona in Week 7. In four home games this season, he has 17 touchdown passes and two interceptions for a 126.2 rating and aims for his fifth in a row at home with at least three touchdown passes and a rating of 100-or-higher. Wilson leads the NFL with 28 touchdown passes this season and can join DREW BREES (nine consecutive seasons from 2008-16) and Pro Football Hall of Famer BRETT FAVRE (five consecutive seasons from 1994-98) as the only players with at least 30 touchdown passes in four consecutive seasons in NFL history.
Wide receivers TYLER LOCKETT (seven touchdown receptions) and DK METCALF (eight touchdown receptions) are the only pair of teammates each with at least seven touchdown receptions this season. In their last meeting, Lockett set career-highs in receptions (15) and receiving yards (200) and tied his career-high with three touchdown receptions. Metcalf ranks third in the league with 816 receiving yards this season and aims for his sixth in a row at home with at least 80 receiving yards and a touchdown reception. Safety JAMAL ADAMS registered two sacks last week and became the fifth defensive back since 1982 with three career games of at least two sacks. Adams, who has 5.5 sacks this season and had 6.5 sacks in 2019, is the second defensive back since 1982 with at least five sacks in consecutive seasons, joining ADRIAN WILSON (2005-06). Linebacker BOBBY WAGNER registered 11 tackles in Week 7 against Arizona and aims for his fifth in a row against the Cardinals with at least 10 tackles. Wagner needs 13 tackles to reach 100 tackles for the ninth consecutive season.
