Hello everyone, This is your friend of course Rick dishing out the truth whether you like it or not. Today’s haters are of course the Cleveland Browns. Hard to believe people are calling the Browns Super Bowl contenders coming into the new NFL season. Yes I said the Cleveland Browns? Perhaps one of the worst franchises in sports history.
I just don’t get it? Did they improve last year, Yes? Does it look like they have a franchise quarterback after missing on 30 since coming back in 1999? Do they look improved. But let’s slow down all the Super Bowl talk.
I understand getting Odell Beckham Jr is a huge add, but I just see drama with him and Baker who have the biggest egos in sports and they have a rookie coach in Freddie Kitchens. I believe the improvement with the Browns last season had a lot to do with Greg Williams. They needed a new voice and I believe they gave up on Hue Jackson.
I’m sorry folks but the Cleveland Browns will not make the playoffs and unfortunately Baker Mayfield will suffer the dreaded sophomore slump just like Dak Prescott did with the Cowboys. The league has had all off season to prepare for him. I see 8-8 or 7-9 and I see Beckham getting traded because of his whining and complaining.
I know everyone is drinking the Kool Aid but I’m sorry I’ll pass and drink to reality. I think they are headed in the right direction and I can look like an absolute fool at the end if they happen to make it deep in the playoffs. But I have seen the new flavor and it usually spoils. Especially given the Browns track record of being such a horrible team. We will wait and see! That’s all for today Folks!
