LEXINGTON, Ky. – Few players have had a finish to the 2019 season like Biatriz Souza Berti has. The senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil has posted 30 plus assists in 17-straight matches, which was highlighted by her new career-high 65 in a win over Embry-Riddle. She has won four Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week Awards since moving into the primary role, and now she can add Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week winner to her awards list.
The 65 handouts against the Eagles were the most by any Fighting Knight since 2002. As impressive a number as that is, she had 41 in a three-set win over Florida Tech, the very next night.
Lynn is on to the NCAA Tournament as they are hosting a regional for the first time in program history and will take on Spring Hill College on Dec. 5.
