TAKE THE FIELD IN THE ONE-OF-A-KIND RACE AT LOANDEPOT PARK WITH THE TRIPLE PLAY 5K PRESENTED BY UHEALTH ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3

MIAMI – Lace up your sneakers and take the field at loanDepot park for the third annual Marlins Triple Play 5K presented by the University of Miami Health System – UHealth! This family-friendly event on Sunday, November 3 will allow runners and walkers of all ages to experience a one-of-a-kind race that goes around the ballpark and onto a Major League field, with home plate serving as an epic finish line.

The crowd will gather on the West Plaza for pre-race festivities, including a live DJ playing music. Participants will then meet at the start line on the West Plaza before they dash into the ballpark and run around the concourse. Following a few laps on the interior, the course sets the racers on the exterior of the building. They will make their way back into the ballpark and onto the field as they run around the warning track before crossing home plate!

While participants make unforgettable memories, they will also be supporting UHealth’s research for brain health and mental wellness, with the ability to choose which of the following causes their funds go towards: ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) research, Alzheimer’s research, general brain health, mental health, Parkinson’s research, or stroke awareness.

Registration, which is $50 for adults and $35 for kids ages 3-12, includes a race bib, T-shirt, medal, and Marlins belt bag. Pre-race activities and race registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the race set to start at 9 a.m. Join the fun and support a worthy cause by registering at Marlins.com/TP5K!

“We are thrilled to team up with our great partners from UHealth to once again host such a fun and impactful community event,” said Caroline O’Connor, Marlins President of Business Operations. “This one-of-a-kind race is much more than your standard 5K – it is a celebration of our community coming together to make a difference, while also providing the special opportunity to run or walk on a Major League field.”

“Coming together with the Marlins in support of our community is, without a doubt, central to our joint mission. Now, on its third year, the Triple Play 5K is such a special event with walkers and runners of all ages gaining unique access to the stadium grounds and field in support of brain health and mental wellness,” said Carlos Correcha-Price, UHealth and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. “We look forward to another successful year of community building.”
