EUGENE, Ore. – South Florida’s Abdul-Rasheed Saminu earned First Team All-America honors in two events, including a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash during day three of the 2024 NCAA Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon.
Saminu earned his first First Team All-American honor of the night in the 100-meter dash, running a personal best 10.02 to finish in 5th place. Saminu followed with a podium finish in the 200-meter dash, running a personal-best 20.12 second race to finish in 3rd place.
In high jump, Wichita State’s Brady Palen finished in 8th place to take home First Team All-America honors, clearing 2.17 meters.
UTSA’s Jemuel Miller jumped a mark of 16.02 meters in triple jump to take home 12th place in the event and be named Second Team All-America.
Charlotte’s Nickolas Scudder ended the night for American athletes with a 23rd place finish in the 5,000-meter run, completing the race at 14:15.40 for Honorable Mention honors.
The 2024 NCAA Track & Field Championships will end on Saturday, June 8 with the finals of the women’s events.
