South Florida Hold One Stroke Lead Heading Into Final Round of 2025 American Men’s Golf Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. – Teams came out firing in round two of the 2025 American Men’s Golf Championship with nine of the 11 teams shooting under-par for the day.  South Florida (22-under 554) holds a one stroke lead over Charlotte (21-under 554) going into the final day.
 
The average score over the final day was 71.38 over 55 rounds. Across two rounds, the average score is 72.16. Twenty-six of the 55 players in the tournament are par or better through 36 holes.

 
The Bulls stayed in first place for a second straight day, led by two 6-under 66 scores from Wilhem Ryding and Jake Peacock. Ryding heads into round three in first place with 10-under 134 through 36 holes, while Peacock is tied for fourth place at 8-under 136.

Charlotte moved into second place after shooting 17-under 271 as a team in round 2. All four players for the 49ers shot under par in round two, led by Daniel Boone’s 6-under 66. Across 36 holes, Seb Cave sits in second place at 9-under 135.

Memphis enters the final day in third place at 11-under 565. Andrew Baucum is tied for second place at 9-under 135 through 18 holes, after shooting 4-under 68 in round two.

Florida Atlantic moved into fourth place after all four scorers shot par or better in round two. Biagio Gagliardi enters the final round tied for fourth place at 8-under 136.

North Texas and UTSA are tied for fifth place entering the final day. The Mean Green are led by Blake Keen (6-under 138) and Alex Huang (5-under 139). The Roadrunners are led by Brayden Bare, who is tied for fourth place at 8-under 136.  Logan Vargas has the second-best score for the team at 2-under 142.

Teams will resume the final round of the 2025 American Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday with tee times expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. (ET). Coverage on ESPN+ will begin at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT.
