South Florida Advances to NCAA Men’s Golf Finals

IRVING, Texas – The South Florida Bulls men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the NCAA Bremerton Regional on Wednesday to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship Finals on May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
 
The championship format in Carlsbad will include 30 teams and six individuals completing 54 holes of stroke play, and then the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team competing for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team national championship.
 
The Bulls entered the final round in seventh place and needed to move into the top five to advance. After shooting 10-under 278, the Bulls improved three spots to fourth place to be above the cut line, finishing the three rounds at 2-under 862.
 
Jake Peacock was the highest finishing Bulls, shooting 2-under 214 to finish tied for 12th place.  Shubham Jaglan finished in 16th place, shooting 1-under 215 over three rounds. Nino Palmquist and Wilhelm Ryding were the final two scorers for the Bulls, both shooting 3-over 219 to tie for 26th place. Ryding moved up 31 positions in the final round after shooting 6-under 66 in the final round.
 
The Bulls will head back to the NCAA Championship for the 5th time in program history and first time since 2022.
