MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2025 All-SSC Softball selections on Tuesday afternoon. Cassidy Patterson, Cassidy Duskin, Gracelyn Wallace, Gianna Russo, Brenna Lokeinsky, and Abbey Moore were recognized by the SSC. Patterson, Duskin, and Wallace earned a spot on the All-Sunshine State Conference First Team, while Russo, Lokeinsky, and Moore were selected to the All-SSC Second Team. Lokeinsky also tabbed a spot on the All-SSC defensive team for the second consecutive year.
Voting for the All-SSC softball awards was conducted among the league’s head coaches.
Cassidy Patterson lands on the All-SSC first team after an impressive performance in her first season as a Shark. The Tarpon Springs, Florida native ranked second on the team in batting average (.358) and first in stolen bases (37), which also ranks third in the league.
Duskin, a key two-way player for the Sharks, tabbed a spot on the All-SSC first team for her all-around performance this year. The senior has been on a tear in the pitching circle, recording 57 strikeouts, 11 wins, and two shutouts. On the offensive end, Duskin ranks second on the team in stolen bases (36) and third in batting average (.350). She also became the first Shark since 2018 to record a perfect game after her stellar outing against West Alabama on February 2nd.
Gracelyn Wallace has been virtually unstoppable in the pitching circle, earning a spot on the All-SSC first team. The right-handed pitcher ranks first in the league in wins (21) and third in strikeouts (164). Not to mention, she’s also earned two SSC Pitcher of the Week honors. Wallace had a season high of 12 strikeouts against Eckerd on February 21st.
Russo tabs a spot on the All-SSC second team after an impressive hitting performance this season. In just 30 games, she finished the season with four home runs, 31 hits, eight doubles, and 24 RBIs. The Homer Glen, Illinois native earned an SSC Player of the Week honor.
Brenna Lokeinsky also finds her name on the All-SSC second team after a stellar 2025 campaign. Lokeinsky leads the Sharks in batting average (.384), doubles (12), home runs (4), triples (3), and RBIs (46), which places her in the top 10 in the SSC in several different categories. The senior’s outstanding play in the field has also earned her a nod on the All-SSC defensive team.
Finally, true freshman Abbey Moore has stepped up big for the Sharks and earned a spot on the All-SSC second team. She finished the regular season with a .287 batting average, tallied 31 hits with 21 RBIs, and scored 10 runs.
The Sharks finished the regular season with a 38-14 record and 21-9 mark in SSC play and have earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA South Region Tournament.
Hannah Taylor of Eckerd was selected as the Player of the Year. Gwen McGinnis from Tampa earns the Pitcher of the Year nod, while the league office recognizes Barry’s Sarah Langlie as the Freshman of the Year. Saint Leo’s Erin Kinberger was named the SSC Coach of the Year.
