FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Softball team won its 30th game of the season on Friday evening, defeating Lynn 5-3. The Sharks were led by a two-RBI performance from Kerstyn Shaw in the Sunshine State Conference victory.

TOP 4th | Lynn jumped out to a 1-0 lead after stealing home.
BOT 4th | Madison Fine led off the inning with a double down the left field line. Whitney Kelly pinch ran for Fine, and advanced to third base after a sacrifice bunt from Tia Williams. Kerstyn Shaw lined out to shortstop, but Kelly scored on an obstruction from the third basemen to tie the game 1-1.
TOP 5th | The Knights regained the lead, taking a 3-1 advantage after a trio of hits.
BOT 6th | Alyssa Drogemuller led off the inning with a single and Ryleigh Langwell followed with a walk. A double from Madison Fine scored Drogemuller, lowering its deficit to 3-2. Williams tied the game for the Sharks after driving in Langwell on a base hit through the left side. With Fine and Williams in scoring position, a clutch, two-RBI double from Shaw drove in the runners and gave NSU a 5-3 lead after six innings.
TOP 7th | Drogemuller closed out the Knights, securing another complete game and a 5-3 win for the Sharks in the series opener.
The Sharks will conclude its series with Lynn with a double-header on Saturday, April 22 at the AD Griffin Sports Complex. First-pitch is set for 1 p.m.
