TAMPA, April 11, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team will start a seven-game road stand with a midweek double header with the Stetson Hatters tomorrow at 4 p.m.
LAST WEEK
South Florida swept the Tulsa Golden Hurricane this past weekend, improving to 6-3 in conference play. Kathy Garcia-Soto (Tampa) led team, batting a .444 with three runs on four hits, four RBIs, and one home run.
Gabriella Nori (Weston) pitched 14 innings with 11 strikeouts. Shed pitched one complete game and earned two wins. Vivian Ponn (Fort Myers) earned her second win of the season.
The Bulls won on back-to-back walk offs on Friday and Saturday. In the eighth inning on Friday, Alexa Galligani (White Plains, N.Y.) single to bring the winning run home. For the season, the Bulls are 5-0 in eight inning games. On Saturday, the Bulls scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to complete the 5-4 comeback win. Rian Eigenmann (Millville, N.J.) had the game winning RBI.
