BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s softball team was swept on the road by host-Flagler College on Sunday afternoon to conclude its opening weekend of 2020.

STATS OF THE GAME:
· Game 1
o Emily Yakel and Mackenzie Wyatt both had one hit in the opener.
o Flagler’s offense pounded out 13 hits, scoring eight runs.
· Game 2
o Natalie Costero went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
o Yakel and Bailey Fernandez each doubled.
o Lynn trailed early, but scored seven combined runs in the fourth and fifth to tie the game at 7-all.
o The Saints hit a walk-off single to win it in the bottom of the seventh.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
· Costero hit a blistering .636 for the weekend and picked up her first-ever ‘perfect game’ at the plate in game two.
· The doubles for Yakel and Fernandez in game two are both the first extra-base hits of their young Fighting Knight careers.
