HOW IT HAPPENED
- Luana Grabias started the game with a strong offensive attack, scoring a quick goal in the 15th minute for the Sharks. Grabias took her defender one-on-one and was able to showcase her crafty arsenal, firing a shot that drilled the back of the net.
- As the first half progressed, NSU’s defense kept its foot on the gas pedal, making it impossible for Palm Beach Atlantic to get a clean look at the goal.
- Stefane Rosa recorded four saves in the first half alone.
- In the second half, the Sharks offense continued to put pressure on the Sailfish. Annie Bjork, Sofia Suarez, and Louise Matsgard, all had quality shots at the goal that were unsuccessful.
- Shortly after, Grabias was able to put another goal on the board, thanks to a beautiful setup by Johanna Barth, bringing her to 10 total goals on the year.
- In the closing minutes of the game, Dani Correa continued her impressive play, scoring a goal in her third consecutive game. Correa crossed up her defender and was left one on one with the goalie, sneaking a shot right by her for her sixth goal of the season. Which ultimately sealed the 3-0 win for the Sharks.
