TAMPA, March 30, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team will head to Wichita, KS for their first true road contest of the 2023 season this Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2 as they take on #23/RV Wichita State.
LAST WEEK
The Bulls opened their 2023 American Conference slate with a three-game series against East Carolina. South Florida took all three games, 6-1, 9-5, 8-0. Left-hander Gabriella Nori (Weston) made her comeback on Friday.
She made an appearance in all three games, pitching two complete games on Friday and Sunday. Over the weekend, she retired seven batters and walked two.
At the plate, it was Marissa Trivelpiece (Sugarloaf, Pa.) and Megan Pierro (Lutz) who led the Bulls. Both batted a .500 average. Trivelpiece had four hits, two doubles, and one RBI. Pierro finished the weekend with three hits, one double, and three RBI.

- Over the weekend, Zoe Jones led the Shockers with a .545 batting average. She had six hits, one double, two homeruns, seven RBI, and five runs. She was named the AAC Player of the Week.
- Alex Aguilar leads the team with the lowest ERA. In her 15 appearances, she has an ERA of 1.96. She has struck out 34 batters.
