DENTON, Texas. – The Florida Atlantic softball team (32-9, 12-3 AAC) will remain on the road, this time heading to Denton, Texas, to take on North Texas. The series’ first game is on Friday, Apr. 12, with the first pitch set for 7 p.m. EST. The following games are scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 13, at 3 p.m. EST, and Sunday, Apr. 14, at 1 p.m. EST to conclude the series. All games will be aired on ESPN+.
The Owls are in first place in the American Athletic Conference. Florida Atlantic is on a two-game winning streak in conference play with a .800 winning percentage.
THE RUNDOWN
This meeting marks the 40th matchup between these two teams in program history, but will mark the first time these two foes faced off as members of the AAC. The first series dates back to Mar. 24, 2007, when the Owls took the series in Boca Raton. North Texas leads the program series 24-15. Last season, the Owls played UNT in Paradise, with two out of the three games going into extra innings.
