ROWING: Hurricanes Compete at Miami International Regatta

MIAMI, Fla. – The University of Miami rowing team had a strong showing at the Miami International Regatta Saturday, as the collegiate four earned a first-place finish and the collegiate eight secured a second-place finish.

The Hurricanes had two boats compete at the event, with the collegiate eight racing first. Miami’s collegiate eight crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 5:13.637,just .9 seconds behind Nova Southeastern who took first place. 

The collegiate four followed with an impressive performance, as they earned a time of 6:03.659 to cross the finish line in first place. The Canes finished just over nine seconds ahead of Nova Southeastern who came in second place. 

Miami will return to competition on April 18 in Sarasota, Florida, where they will begin competing at the Big Ten Invitational.
