To accommodate scheduling, there will be a virtual and in person session. Registration is required. The goal is to provide education to residents on city operations and spending.

Regarding the informational sessions, Mayor Scott J. Brook said, “The City Commission and staff recognize the importance of providing residents with transparency throughout the budget process. Hosting a Budget Academy ensures residents are well-informed, engaged and have a voice when it comes to how tax dollars are spent. It is this type of community engagement that demonstrates Coral Springs commitment to be the premier city in which to live, work and raise a family.”

Representatives from the Department of Budget and Strategy will present residents with an overview of the city’s budget process, including how tax dollars are allocated and used for city services and operations. Residents must register via the Coral Springs website to participate in either or both sessions.

Aimed to educate residents on the city’s annual budget and how the budget works overall, the City of Coral Springs will launch the “Did You Know?” social series every Friday in July 2021 and early August on Facebook and Twitter platforms
