PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES – FEB. 15, 2021

Head Coach Joel Quenneville

“A good bounce-back game. They bounced back after the first game, and we bounced back after the second game. I thought we did some good things today, lot of pucks went in the net but when we keep it simple and play hard, I thought we had a real good last 10 minutes of the game. Learn off of it and a lot of good things here tonight.”

“It’s a feather in our cap but we can’t rest on any laurels when there’s a lot of hockey to be played.”

“Strals [defenseman Anton Stralman] straight down main street with a great shot. A huge goal for us. I thought it got us our composure back.”

Defenseman Anton Stralman

“Going into the season, the amount of games we’re going to play against each other within the division, it’s going to be a tight race all the way until the end. Especially against a team like this where if you’re not on, like we weren’t the other night, we would’ve had no chance. It’s a good response from our team, taking four out of six points in our mini-series against them, that’s huge.”

“We really push ourselves to get more points on the road, it’s big.”

“Definitely one for the fans. Every shift there was a goal it seemed like. It’s just the surges of the games, it happens.”

Forward Anthony Duclair

“We had a lot of people doubting us early on in the year. I think we proved a lot of people wrong here these last three games. We’re going to obviously see them again. We want to make sure we’re playing our best against these teams.”

“It’s a great feeling, I knew it was coming. The past few games I’ve had a lot of opportunities, just happy to get one to help the team win.”

“That’s when we’re on our best, when we’re playing on our toes, we’re breaking the puck out quick. When we’re hard on the forecheck we’re a tough team to play against.”

Goaltender Chris Driedger

“This was a big test for us, I thought we played a fantastic game today. They have a lot of talent over there, a lot of skill. We shut it down in the third and just put pucks in the back of the net. It was a great win for us.”

“That was a huge goal [defenseman Anton Stralman’s goal] and a really big kill from our guys at the end of the second [period]. They had just scored three goals pretty quick to make it a one-goal game. If they had evened it up it would have changed the whole dynamic of the game.”

“Our guys dialed it in, I thought we played like a team that knows how to win.”
