IRVING, Texas. – The American Athletic Conference announced the conference schedule for Florida Atlantic University’s men’s basketball team in the 2023-24 campaign on Friday afternoon, with tipoff times to be announced at a later date.
For head coach Dusty May and the Florida Atlantic Owls, they will embark on their first season in the AAC following their first Final Four run and most wins in the nation from 2022-23.
The 2023-24 season is presented by Phil Smith Kia/Phil Smith Acura.
SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
Conference play for the Owls will kick off at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena when they face East Carolina on Tuesday, Jan. 2., followed by their first conference road trip against Charlotte (Saturday, Jan. 6) and Tulane (Thursday, Jan. 11).
Fans will be able to pack the Elly for two-game homestands against UAB (Sunday, Jan. 14) and Wichita State (Thursday, Jan. 18) as well as North Texas (Sunday, Jan. 28) and Tulsa (Saturday, Feb. 3).
The Owls are also set for road trips against UTSA (Sunday, Jan. 21) and Rice (Wednesday, Jan. 24) as well as UAB (Thursday, Feb. 8) and Wichita State (Sunday, Feb. 11).
In between home games against Temple on Thursday, Feb. 15 and Feb. 22 against SMU, the Owls will make a quick trip to Tampa to face USF on Sunday, Feb. 18.
Also on the docket is a home game against Tulane on Saturday, Mar. 2.
The Owls will face Memphis, their opponent in the 2023 NCAA Tournament’s Round of 64, both on the road (Sunday, Feb. 25) and to close out the regular season at home (Saturday, Mar. 9). In between, Florida Atlantic will play their final road game of the regular season against North Texas on Wednesday, Mar. 6.
