IRVING, Texas – The 2023-24 season marks a historic one for Florida Atlantic women’s basketball as the Owls will embark on their inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference, which the league announced on Friday.
The 18-game conference schedule is slated to begin on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, and will conclude on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
The Owls will open up conference play at home as they host the UAB Blazers on Saturday, Dec. 30 for their sole AAC matchup during the 2023 calendar year.
Florida Atlantic will then open up 2024 on the road as the Owls visit the Lone Star State to take on the SMU Mustangs on Thursday, January 4, before closing out their first AAC road trip of the year at North Texas on Sunday, January 7.
The Owls will then return to the Sunshine State as they welcome UTSA and Tulsa for back-to-back home contests on Wednesday, January 10 and Saturday, January 13, respectively.
Florida Atlantic will then travel to the Volunteer State to take on the Memphis Tigers on Saturday, January 20.
The squad will once again return to Paradise to host ECU on Thursday, January 25.
The Owls will then head out on the road to close out January as they head to Wichita, Kansas, to take on Wichita State on Saturday, January 27, before heading to Birmingham, Alabama to face off against UAB on Wednesday, January 31.
Florida Atlantic will open the month of February at home as they host Rice on Saturday, February 3, before the Owls head back on the road to visit Charlotte on Wednesday, February 7.
The Owls will return to Paradise for another pair of back-to-back home matchups as they welcome Wichita State on Saturday, February 10 and North Texas on Wednesday, February 14.
Florida Atlantic will hit the road on Saturday, February 17 to head to Tampa to face rival USF, before finishing their road trip on Sunday, February 25 at UTSA.
The Owls will then close out their 2023-24 home slate hosting Tulane for a midweek battle on Wednesday, February 28, before welcoming Charlotte for Senior Day on Sunday, March 3.
The regular season will come to a close on Wednesday, March 6 as the Owls visit Temple in Philadelphia.
