Orange Bowl Launches 2021 Creative Art Contest

Free contest open to ALL Miami-Dade and Broward County students, focusing on the theme of “Teamwork Makes Champions!”
MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (orangebowl.org) – The Orange Bowl has partnered with Bank of America and Florida Blue to bring its annual Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest to South Florida schools. The initiative affords all K-12 students in Miami-Dade and Broward schools the opportunity to win prizes by submitting artwork. The theme for this year’s contest is “Teamwork Makes Champions!” Students are encouraged to submit artwork that includes visual representations of South Florida, college football, healthy lifestyles and OBIE (Orange Bowl’s official mascot). Students of all ages can win a variety of prizes, including gift cards and tickets to the AutoNation Orange Bowl Basketball Classic. The Grand Prize winner will receive a custom Orange Bowl bicycle and two tickets to the 2021 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl. The Grand Prize winner’s artwork will also be recognized during the game and displayed as a full-page acknowledgment in this year’s official Capital One Orange Bowl game program. Teachers can also join in on the fun – the educator whose class submits the most entries will receive a $500 Donors Choose gift card and an “Orange Bowl takeover” celebration at his or her school. OBIE will tour schools throughout South Florida to promote the Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest. At each school visit, students will have the opportunity to interact and play games, learn more details about the contest and receive fun promotional items to generate excitement for the competition. Promotional videos will be available to share with students and teachers to explain the contest in more detail.
Contest entries may be submitted via mail to the Orange Bowl Committee office (14360 NW 77 CT, Miami Lakes, FL, 33016) or uploaded online at www.orangebowl.org/cac/. For physically mailed entries, students must complete the entry form found on the website and attach it to the back of their artwork. All entries must be submitted online or received at the Orange Bowl office by Friday, November 19, 2021 at 5 p.m. ET. Winners will be announced and contacted on December 1, 2021.
