The Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library has announced that starting, Tuesday, March 8, families will be able to borrow a tablet computer for their children. The Playaway Launchpad is a child-friendly tablet that is preloaded with educational games, videos, and activities. They do not require internet access or personal information to use them. Simply turn them on and begin playing. The Launchpad tablet lending program was created to extend the educational experience into the homes of all families. Each Launchpad has a theme such as science, engineering, reading and language arts.
