FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern athletics department is proud to announce the induction of 53 student-athletes into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor society.
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only nonprofit organization that was established to honor college student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition. Chi Alpha Sigma is an honor society that recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full time semester and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.
“Our student-athletes are outstanding scholars and I am excited for every opportunity to be able to honor their academic accomplishments,” said Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services and Student-Athlete Support/Senior Woman Administrator/Title IX Coordinator Rachel Fineberg. “This group of elite Sharks should be proud to join such a distinguished organization designed to specifically recognize the unique contributions that student-athletes make to their campus communities when they are able to achieve at the highest level in their field of play and in their pursuit of academic excellence. On behalf of the NSU Athletic Department administration, I offer my sincerest congratulations to our newest Chi Alpha Sigma inductees.”
