Less than two months after announcing that it will relocate all its South Florida flights to Miami International Airport (MIA) in September, low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways is increasing its stature by adding flights from MIA to Berlin and Paris as well, starting this December. Norse Atlantic’s four weekly Miami-Paris flights are set to begin on December 12 and its weekly Miami-Berlin service will launch on December 14 as part of its winter schedule.
“Norse Atlantic Airways’ decision to relocate its South Florida operations to Miami-Dade is a testament to the economic opportunity Miami-Dade has to offer, as well as the award-winning service MIA provides,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “This influx of new flights will generate increased tourism revenue and will create new jobs for our local workforce.”
Norse Atlantic’s latest announcement will create the first nonstop service between Miami and Berlin since 2017 and the second nonstop option between MIA and Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport. Norse Atlantic will enter the Miami market for the first time on September 18 with four weekly flights to both London (Gatwick) and Oslo – two other destinations with no current nonstop service from MIA. Customers traveling on Norse Atlantic’s Fort Lauderdale routes after September 17 will be rebooked to its new Miami service or be offered a full refund.

Norse Atlantic offers two cabin choices – Economy and Premium – and three fare options: Light, Classic, and Flextra. Light fares represent Norse’s value option while Flextra fares include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services, an enhanced airport and onboard experience, and increased ticket flexibility. Norse Atlantic exclusively operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with each seat including a personal state-of-the-art entertainment experience. Premium cabin seats offer a 43-inch seat pitch and a 12-inch recline.
Norse Atlantic Airways was founded by CEO and major shareholder Bjørn Tore Larsen in March 2021. Norse has a fleet of 15 modern, fuel-efficient, and more environmentally friendly Boeing 787 Dreamliners that currently serve destinations including New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Washington, San Francisco, Boston, Oslo, London, Berlin, Rome, and Paris. The company’s first flight took off from Oslo to New York on June 14, 2022.
