TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 4 Florida gymnastics kept this week’s wins versus top-20 Alabama teams going Friday, posting the nation’s seventh-highest team total of 2025 to take a rare dual-meet win in Coleman Coliseum.
The Gators won 198.025 – 197.45 er No. 14 Alabama in front 8.797 at the Coleman Coliseum.
This was Florida’s fourth consecutive dual meet in Coleman Coliseum – and the fifth in program history.
It’s not a site of many Gator victories. Florida is now 5-17 in dual meet action at Alabama, with those wins coming in 1979, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025.

Wednesday, Florida won 99-94 over No. 7 Alabama men’s basketball team in Coleman Coliseum.
Yesterday at the Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greenville S.C., Florida upset No. 20 Alabama 63-61.
Tonight, gymnastics claimed Florida Athletics third win of the week versus the Tide, winning 198.025 – 197.45 at No. 14 Alabama.
The meet was tied at the midway point, but the Gators took a 0.525 lead into the final rotation with a solid performance on floor exercise. A six-for-six balance beam set pushed the Gators’ winning margin out to 0.575.
Two Gators claimed four of the evening five event titles Friday. Leanne Wong matched the evening’s high mark of 9.975 to win vault. Junior Selena Harris-Miranda won bars (9.95) and then used that same mark to share the balance beam title with Wong. Alabama’s Lily Hudson took the floor exercise win at 9.975. Wong used a 39.725 to win her sixth all-around title of the season and the 20th of her career. That total is just off her season-best of 39.75.
THIS EVENING’S MEET
Florida opened the meet with a solid uneven bars total of 49.475. Harris-Miranda’s winning mark of 9.95 was just off her season-best of 9.975 set in Gators Link to Pink meet. Senior Riley McCusker equaled her season-best of 9.90 Friday. All four other Gators in bars lineup – Anya Pilgrim, Skye Blakely, Leanne Wong and Alyssa Arana – all posted 9.875s.
The meet was tied at the midway point. Florida tallied a 49.40 on vault, led by Wong’s winning near-perfect mark of 9.975. All-American Victoria Nguyen turned in a 9.90 to tie for third overall. Sophomore Danie Ferris and Gabby Disidore each received mark of 9.85.
The Gators tallied their third-best floor exercise total (49.525) of the season. Back-to-back 9.925s by Wong and Harris-Miranda led the Gators Friday. Nguyen started off the rotation with a 9.90 and freshman Taylor Clark earned the same mark. Disidore also contributed a 9.875 toward the event total.
Florida used five marks of 9.9 or better to tally the team’s third-highest balance beam total of the season (49.625). Consecutive 9.95 from first Wong and then Harris-Miranda led the team. Sophomores Skylar Draser (9.90) and Alyssa Arana (9.925) bookended by equaling their collegiate bests. Nguyen also turned in a 9.90.
