Lynn 4, Palm Beach Atlantic 1
Bradenton, Fla. – Lynn University’s 12th-ranked men’s tennis team took down No. 25 Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, 4-1, in the opening round of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Lynn took two of the three doubles flights and led in the third.
· Florian Clemares and Jose Porfirio Ordonez won at No. 1, 6-3, with Kay Bartmann and Patrick Bessinger securing the second flight, 6-2.
· Gabriel Hocevar and Lucca Baptista were ahead 5-3 at No. 3 doubles.
· In singles action, Bartmann looked sharp, logging a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at the top flight.
· The Sailfish got on the board with a straight-set win at No. 3.
· Baptista was behind early at No. 2 but rebounded for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 victory.
· Hocevar clinched the match at No. 5, winning 6-2, 6-4.
· Porfirio Ordonez and Robin Calais each won their respective first sets at No. 4 and No. 6.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
· Lynn defeated PBA at home during the regular season, 5-2.
· The match originally started at 10 a.m. but was paused 10 minutes in due to rain. The teams picked play back up at 3:45 p.m.
UP NEXT:
Lynn will take on the No. 3 seed Saint Leo tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the semifinals.
