On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 10 a.m., Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will break ground for the renovation and expansion of North Trail Park and Community Center – located at 780 NW 127 Avenue, Miami 33182 – to provide needed services and programs for older adults in the area.
The existing 6,742 square foot community center will receive new roofing, doors, windows, flooring, paint, lighting, and other decorative components, as well as new plumbing fixtures and drinking fountains. Approximately 1,644 square feet of space will be added to the center to accommodate a new main entrance hall-reception area and a new multi-purpose room with the capability to be divided into two separate rooms.
The site will receive a new 880 square foot restroom building with a drinking fountain and storage spaces. There will also be new landscaping, two newly designated accessible parking spaces and six new bicycle racks.
