NEW YORK — April 8, 2025 — The National Football League received 22 Sports Emmy Award nominations for its work across NFL Network, NFL Films and the league office, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced today.

NFL Network’s daily show “Good Morning Football” earned its fourth career Sports Emmy Award nomination in the Outstanding Studio Show – Daily category and first since the show moved to Los Angeles in 2024, while “NFL RedZone” host Scott Hanson earned a nomination in the Outstanding Personality – Studio Host category.

This year, NFL Network’s original content team earned four nominations, including two in the Outstanding Short Documentary category with “9066: Fear, Football and the Theft of Freedom” and “Through the Storm.” The “NFL 360” feature “#FREETEZ” earned nominations in the Outstanding Long Feature and Outstanding Editing – Long Form categories.

NFL Films earned a total of 12 nominations this year, including four of the five total nominations in the Outstanding Edited Event Coverage category with “Hey Rookie: Welcome to the NFL,” “NFL Draft: The Pick Is In,” “NFL GameDay All-Access – Super Bowl LIX” and “NFL Turning Point.” This marks the fifth consecutive nomination for “Hey Rookie: Welcome to the NFL” and the second consecutive nomination for “NFL Draft: The Pick Is In.” Additionally, “NFL GameDay All-Access” won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Edited Event Coverage last year.

“Hard Knocks” earned two nominations, with the premiere season of the offseason edition of the series earning a nomination for Outstanding Documentary Series – Serialized (“Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants”) and a nomination in the Outstanding Writing – Long Form category for “Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North” which featured an entire division for the first time. NFL Films also earned nominations for Jason Kelce in the Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent category for his work on the NFL Films-produced late night show, “They Call It Late Night,” as well as three total nominations for “NFL Films Presents” (Outstanding Hosted Edited Series, and “The Silent Super Bowl” and “Shots of the Year” in the Outstanding Camera Work – Short Form category).

The NFL earned three nominations in the Outstanding Public Service Content category with “NFC Championship: Somebody,” “Super Bowl LIX: Flag 50” and “Youth Flag Football: Let’s Play.”

The 46th Annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall.
