National Beer Day: Miami Brewery Expands at LoanDepot Park

Ahead of National Beer Day on April 7, I wanted to flag Biscayne Bay Brewing Company, a Miami-based, locally owned independent brewery expanding this spring with a new brewery and 1,800 sq. ft. beer garden at loanDepot park.

Located within the Home Plate Parking Garage, adjacent to the West Gate entrance to the ballpark, the Biscayne Bay Brewing takeover features a fully operational brewery and a beer garden with picnic tables, umbrellas, and games—perfect for pre-game gatherings or post-pitch conversations. As the Official Craft Beer of the Miami Marlins, the brand is doubling down on its stadium presence with a vibrant, open-air space designed as a dedicated game-day destination just steps from the action—an uncommon move for an independent brewery operating at this scale.

Guests can enjoy Biscayne Bay Brewing’s five core beers at this new space, in addition to selections available inside the stadium: Marlins Lager, Tropical Bay IPA, Regatta Double IPA, Miami Pale Ale, and the highly anticipated Tropical Bay Pilsner, a refreshing golden lager that truly hits it out of the park. A curated selection of game-day snacks will also be available.

Founded in 2012, Biscayne Bay Brewing is one of the few independently owned and operated breweries in Miami, standing out in a market still emerging as a serious craft beer city. The brewery has steadily grown its footprint while maintaining strong local roots. Beyond the stadium, its core beers are widely available across South Florida at select Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, Milam’s, Target, Publix, Total Wine, and more—making it a notable example of an independent brewery balancing accessibility with authenticity.

As conversations around regional beer identity and the next wave of U.S. beer cities continue, Biscayne Bay Brewing offers a timely look at how a Miami brewery is scaling through sports, distribution, and community integration.
