CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team (2-0) defeated the Buffalo Bulls (0-1), 4-1, for its second win of the day on Monday night.
Senior Martin Katz and junior Antonio Prat paired up in doubles to take down Theodoros Mitsakos and Clement Mainguy, 6-1, on court one, as junior Nacho Serra Sanchez and sophomore Dal Boni clinched the doubles point over Emiliano Jorquera and Michael Malkin, 6-4, at the No. 2 spot.
Again, with only five singles players, the Hurricanes powered through to win the match. Katz grabbed the 6-0, 6-2 win against Mitsakos, while Serra Sanchez beat Mainguy, 6-2, 6-1, and Prat clinched the match on court two with an impressive 6-2, 6-2 victory over Tang.
Miami will travel to Boca Raton, Fla., to face FAU on Thursday, Jan. 16.
