DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, will be hosting a local player tryout on September 14, 2023. Players who register will have the opportunity to compete for an invitation to Cruise training camp beginning in October.
The tryout will be held at the Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center, located at 690 Amsterdam St., Detroit, MI 48202, and will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET for the first session. First session will end at 5:30pm ET, and second session will begin at 6:00pm ET. Members of the Cruise and Pistons front office and coaching staff will be running operations while performing full evaluations of all participating players. Cruise General Manager, Ben Carloni, will also be in attendance evaluating and scouting all active participants. This is a great opportunity for players in and around the Detroit area to come and showcase their abilities while participating in high-level drills and scrimmages.
All tryout participants must pre-register and pay the $250 non-refundable tryout fee. The open tryout will be limited to the first 100 people who complete the required registration forms and submit the tryout fee. The registration deadline for the tryout is Friday, September 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
