MIAMI MARLINS OUTFIELDER KYLE STOWERS NAMED TO NATIONAL LEAGUE ALL-STAR TEAM

MIAMI – Major League Baseball announced today that Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers has been named to the National League All-Star team, earning the first All-Star selection of his career. He joins Marlins Manager Clayton McCullough, who was named a member of the National League’s coaching staff in June, in representing the organization with the trip to the 95th MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 15, at Truist Park in Atlanta, Ga.

Stowers, 27, has posted a .280/.352/.514 (80×286) offensive slash line, while leading the Marlins with 40 runs, 80 hits, 16 home runs, and 46 RBI through 84 games in 2025. The El Cajon, Calif. native also paces Miami’s qualifiers in slugging percentage and OPS (.866), while his 11.9 barrels per plate appearance entering Sunday led the club and ranked tied for fourth among all National League hitters, per Baseball Savant. Per FanGraphs, he entered today leading qualified NL outfielders with a .364 BABIP and ranking fifth with a 140 wRC+.

The Stanford University product is in his second season with Miami after being acquired from Baltimore in July 2024. On May 5, he was named National League Player of the Week presented by Chevrolet, becoming the first Marlins position player to earn the honor since outfielder Starling Marte in 2021.

He becomes the first Marlins outfielder to be named a National League All-Star since 2017, when both Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton earned the honors. Additionally, he is the eighth different outfielder to represent the Miami Marlins at the All-Star Game (14th occurrence), also joining Moises Alou, Miguel Cabrera, Jeff Conine, Cliff Floyd, and Gary Sheffield.
