Davie, FL (September 01, 2020) – The Miami Dolphins and Air Pros USA, a leading residential and commercial air conditioning services company and the official Air Conditioning partner for the NFL team, came together to help a family of five living in the Miami area. They selected Jerry and Deborah Sanders to receive a new air conditioning unit, based on a nomination submitted by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Miami-Dade branch.
The Miami Dolphins FOOTBALL UNITES™ program worked through nominations from community partners such as the NAACP to select the family. On Thursday, August 29, Air Pros USA installed the new air conditioning unit at the family’s residence and assisted with all permit requirements.
“We are in the business of providing cool and healthy indoor home environments and we understand better than anyone else how important it is to feel comfortable in your own home,” said Anthony Perera, founder of Air Pros USA. “By teaming up with Miami Dolphins FOOTBALL UNITES™, everyone at Air Pros USA feels proud to be able to do our part to serve the community and provide a new air conditioning unit to the Sanders family.”
“We are proud to have a partnership with Air Pros USA that extends beyond the field and supports the mission of our FOOTBALL UNITES™ program of utilizing our platform to bring positive change to the South Florida community,” said RaShauna Hamilton, Miami Dolphins Senior Director of Community Relations & Youth Programs. “Through our great community partner, the NAACP, we were able to identify a deserving family and provide them with air-conditioning units that will hopefully make the Sanders lives at home a little easier.”
The Sanders family was nominated by the NAACP because they are coping with medical hardships. Deborah Sanders, 56, recently had hip surgery and is taking numerous pain medications. Jerry Sanders, 64, is a cancer patient who needs numerous medications as well. Their air conditioning unit was over 25 years old and had been constantly breaking down.
“We nominated the Sanders family to offer them a bit of relief as they are already going through so much. The cost of constant AC repairs were much more than what they can afford because of the medical expenses and we hope this new AC unit will offer them some comfort in their current situation,” said Ruban Roberts of the Miami Dade Branch of the NAACP.
“We would like to thank the NAACP for nominating our family and the Miami Dolphins and Air Pros USA for this wonderful gift. They are doing a wonderful job. It means a lot to our family,” said Deborah Sanders.
