PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) announced the 2023-24 All-South Region teams on Friday afternoon. Shane Hunter was named to the All-South Region First-Team. The full release can be found here.
Hunter, who also was named to the First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference, had a breakout campaign leading the Sharks to the program’s third consecutive Sunshine State Conference regular season and tournament titles. The senior was also recognized as the Sunshine State Conference tournament Most Valuable Player.
Hunter was the only Shark to start all 29 games during the 2023-24 campaign, and led the team in field goals (194), field goal percentage (58%), points (466), points-per-game (16.1), rebounds (192), and blocks (56).
No. 1 Nova Southeastern will host the NCAA South Region Tournament, beginning on Saturday, March 16th, at the Rick Case Arena.
