KANSAS CITY, Mo. – MJ Iraldi has been announced as the 2024-25 Bevo Francis Award winner by Small College Basketball on Monday evening. Iraldi becomes the second Nova Southeastern Men’s Basketball player to win the Bevo Francis Award, joining RJ Sunahara (2022-23).
The Clarence “Bevo” Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. This award is presented annually to the top player in Small College Basketball – DII, DII, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA
Iraldi led the Sharks to the program’s second NCAA Division II national championship title and adds another honor to a list of accomplishments from the 2024-25 season. Iraldi was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, D2 CCA South Region and National Player of the Year and the NABC National Player of the Year. Additionally, Iraldi led NCAA Division II and set the program’s single season scoring record, totaling 873 points.
On the season, Iraldi averaged 23.6 points-per-game, shooting 52.5% from the field and 40.1% from beyond the arc. Iraldi scored at least 30 points in eight games, including tying the mark for second most points scored in a single game (42 vs. Embry-Riddle on February 26). Iradi averaged 24.6 points during the NCAA Division II Elite Eight tournament, scoring 27 points in the national championship game against Cal. State Dominguez Hills.
