Men’s Basketball – Iraldi, Cisarik named to Trevor Hudgins Award Top-15 Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee has announced the Trevor Hudgins Award Top-15 Watch List for the 2024-25 season. The award recognizes the top senior who has demonstrated excellence over a four-year (or five-year) career within Small College Basketball. Both representatives from the second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men’s Basketball program, MJ Iraldi and Ryker Cisarik maintained their spots on the watch list. The Trevor Hudgins Award Top-15 Watch List can be found here.

Considerations for the Trevor Hudgins Award are overall career statistics and achievements, team achievements, awards, and personal character. The player must have played his entire career at the small college level. This is the highest award given to a four-year (or five-year) player within Small College Basketball. The overall intent of the Trevor Hudgins Award is two-fold: 1) To keep the collegiate legacy of Trevor Hudgins alive and continue to tell his story to the next generation, and 2) To provide a national platform to honor outstanding players – and ultimately one player – within small college basketball on an annual basis. The Trevor Hudgins Award is sponsored by Northwest Missouri State University, the Scribner Family Foundation, and Marjie Durkes.

Iraldi, in his second year with the NSU Men’s Basketball program, has been sensational for the Sharks throughout the 2024-25 season. Iraldi leads the Sunshine State Conference in points (684), points-per-game (24.4), while ranking fourth in the league in field goal percentage (55.5%) and three-point field goal percentage (41.1%). Iraldi had the second highest scoring game in the Sunshine State Conference and tied the second-most in a single game in program history on February 26th against Embry-Riddle, where he scored 42 points, going 18-28 from the field, in the Sharks victory. Iraldi has scored at least 30 points in a game in eight games during the 2024-25 season. Iraldi recorded his 1,000th point as a member of the Nova Southeastern Sharks Men’s Basketball program on February 12th against Palm Beach Atlantic. Iradli is also a candidate for the Bevo Francis Award, presented by Small College Basketball.

Cisarik, in his second season with the Sharks, has enjoyed the best season of his collegiate career in his final year. Cisarik leads NSU in rebounds (206), rebounds-per-game (7.4), blocks (41), while ranking second on the team in points (512) and points-per-game (18.3). Cisarik scored a career-high 32 points against Alabama-Huntsville on November 8th and has scored over 20 points in 10 games during the 2024-25 season. Cisarik tied the eighth-place mark for rebounds in a single game on February 12th against Palm Beach Atlantic. Cisarik has totaled four double-doubles on the season. Cisarik is also a candidate for the Bevo Francis Award, presented by Small College Basketball.

Cisarik, Iraldi and the Sharks, the four-time defending Sunshine State Conference regular season champions, will begin play in the SSC tournament on Tuesday, March 4th, at the Rick Case Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. To stay up-to-date on NSU Men’s Basketball, be sure to follow on Instagram & X at NSU_MBasketball.
