Men’s Basketball – Cisarik selected for State Farm Dark Horse Dunker competition

SAN ANTONIO, TX. – Intersports, producers of the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, has announced details for the 2025 State Farm Dark Horse Dunker competition, a social media fan voting competition featuring16 of the nation’s top under-the-radar players from all levels of college basketball. Ryker Cisarik, a fifth-year forward from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, has been selected and will represent the second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men’s Basketball program. The four-week social media fan vote competition culminates with the winner having the opportunity to compete in the King’s Hawaiian Slam Dunk Contest on April 3rd in San Antonio.

Fans will determine the winner by voting in the event’s X (CollegeSlam) and Instagram (College_Slam) channels in a bracket style competition. The X voting window for each round will run for the duration of each round and the Instagram voting window will run for the final 24 hours each week. First round voting begins Monday at 12 p.m. CT and runs through Friday, March 7th, at 12 p.m. CT. The athlete with the most votes in each matchup will move on to the next round. The final round will take place from March 24-28.

The schedule for each voting round will go as follows:Round One: March 3 at 12 p.m. CT through March 7 at 12 p.m. CT (16 players)
Quarterfinals: March 10 at 12 p.m. CT through March 14 at 12 p.m. CT (eight players)
Semifinals: March 17 at 12 p.m. CT through March 21 at 12 p.m. CT (four players)
Finals: March 24 at 12 p.m. CT through March 28 at 12 p.m. CT (two players)

Cisarik ranks second on the No. 2 Nova Southeastern Sharks in points (512), points-per-game (18.3), while leading the team in rebounds (206), rebounds-per-game (7.4), and blocks (41), while also leading the Sunshine State Conference in shooting percentage (59.6). Cisarik is also a candidate for both the Bevo Francis Award and Trevor Hudgins Award by Small College Basketball.
