BOCA RATON, Fla. – Coming off their fifth straight victory, the Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team has earned a pair of weekly honors from the American Athletic Conference. Sophomore forward Kaleb Glenn received an AAC Honorable Mention, while center Matas Vokietaitis earned Freshman of the Week.
Both came off the bench as key contributors for the Owls as they picked up an 87-75 victory over Charlotte before coming back from a second half double-digit deficit to beat Temple, 83-81.
This marks Glenn’s second honorable mention of the 2024-25 season. In both outings over the week, he led the team in scoring, averaging 17.5 points per game on 68% shooting from the field and 57% from beyond the arc. His back-to-back three-pointers in a span of a minute helped spark the FAU Owls’ second half comeback.
Vokietaitis receives his conference-best fifth freshman of the week honor after making six out of his seven shot attempts on the week. In 14 minutes of action against Temple, he scored 11 points while hauling in seven rebounds.
