BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic’s men’s basketball team hits the road to take on Memphis on Sunday, Feb. 25. Tipping off at 2 p.m. EST, the game will air on ESPN.

The Owls face the Tigers for the first time since the 2023 NCAA Tournament’s Round of 64 in which redshirt sophomore guard Nick Boyd drove in for the game-winning layup to spark the memorable March Madness run that culminated in FAU’s first Final Four appearance.

Now rivals in the American Athletic Conference, Florida Atlantic is currently second in the league standings with an 11-3 record while Memphis ranks sixth with a record of 8-6.

LAST TIME OUT

Florida Atlantic defeated SMU, 80-70, on Feb. 22 for their 10th straight home win. The Owls put forth a solid showing on both ends of the floor, holding the Mustangs to just 32% shooting in the second half and disrupting ball movement by limiting the top passing team in the conference to just eight assists, half of their per game total. On offense, junior center Vlad Goldin scored 21 points and Alijah Martin added 20 on a combined 14-for-24 shooting from the field between the two.

  • Goldin now has back-to-back 20+ point games for the first time in his career
  • Davis has scored in double figures in 20 consecutive games. He is also on a three-game streak with 10+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ assists
  • Martin is averaging 16.5 points per game to go with 6.5 rebounds in his last 10 outings
  • Boyd has hit a three-pointer in 10 straight outings

  • The Tigers’ offense features the top scorer in the conference with senior forward David Jones averaging 21.6 points per game. This also ranks eighth nationwide
