BOCA RATON, Fla. – After a competitive two-game road trip that saw both go into overtime, the No. 24 Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team returns to the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena for a matchup against Temple. The game, tipping off at 7 p.m., will air on ESPN2.
It will be a battle of the Owls between two teams that have yet to meet in their program’s history. FAU will look to extend their home win streak to nine games.

LAST TIME OUT
The Owls are coming off an offensive explosion in overtime against Wichita State, scoring 21 points on 7-for-8 shooting on their way to a 95-82 victory. Junior center Vlad Goldin recorded 20 points for the third time in his career and dished out a season high five assists while senior guard Brandon Weatherspoon added 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting. Florida Atlantic was aggressive on the defensive end as well, stealing the ball a season high 13 times.

- The Owls have recorded 90+ points in nine games this season
- Junior guard Johnell Davis has scored in double figures for 17 consecutive games, the longest stretch of his career
- Junior guard Alijah Martin continues to make plays on both ends of the floor. He has recorded multiple steals in 13 out of 24 games, with at least three in 10 of them
- One game after recording 1,000 career points for his collegiate career, senior guard Bryan Greenlee reached 1,000 career points as an Owl against Wichita State. He joins teammates Davis and Martin among the 17 players in program history to do so
- Out of 14 teams in the American Athletic Conference, the Owls also rank second in three-point field goal percentage (36.6%) field goal percentage (48%), points per game (83.5) and assists per game (15.1). They are fifth in rebounds (38.5) and sixth in steals (7.8)
- Nationally, the Owls rank 18th in points per game. They are 30th in the nation in effective field goal percentage (.551) and field goal percentage
- Temple’s offensive attack is led by junior guard Hysier Miller, leading the team in both points per game (15.6) and assists (4.1). He ranks ninth and sixth, respectively, amongst AAC players in these categories
UP NEXT
Florida Atlantic will travel in-state to Tampa on Sunday, Feb. 18 to take on the USF Bulls (17-5, 10-1 AAC) currently the number one team in the American Athletic Conference by standings. The game will tip off at 12 p.m. EST and will air on ESPN.
