INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Miami men’s basketball team was named the No. 7 seed in the West Regional, the NCAA Selection Committee announced Sunday.
The Hurricanes are set to face 10th-seeded Missouri in St. Louis, Missouri, on Friday. The opening round matchup tip time and TV designation will be announced at a later time.
The two teams are paired with two-seeded Purdue and 15th-seeded Queens.
Fresh off a historic regular season that saw Miami tie the school record for most regular season wins with 24, the Hurricanes are making the 13th trip to the NCAA Tournament and are a seven seed for the second time program history.
