Miami Marlins Manager Don Mattingly has been voted Sporting News National League Manager of the Year. Mattingly is the third Marlins manager to receive the honor, joining Joe Girardi in 2006 and Fredi Gonzalez in 2008.
Jack McKeon, who Mattingly passed for most wins as manager in club history with 282 on August 6 at Baltimore, was named NL Manager of the Year by the BBWAA in 2003.
