10/21/2024 | Men’s Soccer BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the second time this season, Florida Atlantic men’s soccer forward Aboubacar Traore has been named to the American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention list. Traore previously earned a nod on September 23. Last week, he was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week. The Ivory Coast native added a pair of assists to his league-leading total in two games this week. On Tuesday against Florida Gulf Coast, it was Traore’s corner kick that was redirected home by Noah Kvifte to give the Owls a 2-0 lead at the time. On Sunday against FIU, Traore delivered a cross that was converted by Matthew Alfred for the game-winning goal late in the second half. Traore’s eight assists are the most in the AAC and rank ninth nationally. He has factored on 11 of the Owls’ 19 goals so far this season. FAU men’s soccer is in action, albeit briefly, on Tuesday as they complete the last 37 minutes of a suspended match vs. Stetson from August 29. League play resumes Saturday at Memphis.
