LA QUINTA, Calif. – Florida Atlantic men’s golf is tied for fourth after 18 holes in a loaded 25-team field at “The Prestige” hosted by UC-Davis. The 54-hole tournament continues with round two on Tuesday. At -2, the Owls are seven back of North Carolina for the team lead.

NaShawn Tyson and Jake Hibbert each fired two-under-par 69s on Monday and are tied for 14th (out of 120 players)
After starting on the 10th hole and playing his first nine in 38 (+2), Tyson ripped off a second nine 31 (-4) to vault up the leaderboard
Hibbert, conversely, birdied three of his first five holes and played his opening nine in 33 (-3)
He would balance three more birdies with three bogeys on the second nine
