ITA National Rankings
Tempe, Ariz. – Lynn University’s women’s tennis squad held its spot at the top, boasting the No. 1 ranking for the second consecutive week with Wednesday’s release of the Oracle/ITA National Rankings. Leolia Jeanjean cracked the top 10 of the singles national rankings.
The Fighting Knights won two matches since last week’s release of the rankings, posting 7-0 shutouts at Nova Southeastern and vs. Florida Tech. Lynn remains undefeated on the season at 18-0.
The top three teams in the rankings all hail from the Sunshine State Conference, featuring Barry and Saint Leo at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Following the loss, NSU dropped two spots to No. 7.
Jeanjean finally made it into the top 10 of the national singles rankings, jumping up 18 spots from last week to No. 7. She is 16-0 in the season at the No. 1 flight, defeating all five of her nationally-ranked opponents.
Ulyana Grib (No. 50) and Eleonora Liga (No. 67) were featured in the singles rankings for the second consecutive week.
For the first time this season, Lynn boasts nationally-ranked doubles pair as Jeanjean and Grib debut in the rankings at No. 46.
